PictureAll Things Are Possible Thru Christ Jesus!
BIBLE READING:
Exodus 12:14-13:16, Matthew 20:29-21:22
Psalm 25:16-22, and Proverbs 6:12-15

Today as we give God the praise & glory for making it through our first month of the bible reading challenge, let's meditate on His word spoken through our Savior, His son Jesus Christ which encourages us that if we have faith, anything is possible:

Then Jesus told them , I tell you the truth, if you have faith and don't doubt, you can do things like this and much more.  You can even say to this mountain, 'May you be lifted up and thrown into the sea,' and it will happen.  You can pray for anything, and if you have faith, you will receive it." Matthew 21:21-22
Our 1ST MONTH IS A TOUCHDOWN for the bible reading challenge!!!

I would also like to congratulate my cousin Cornerback Byron Maxwell and the Sea Hawks team for making it this far against all odds!!!!! Our prayers are with you and remember...... All things are possible through Christ Jesus!

So Let's get ready to gear up for Month 2 Bible reading and don't be afraid to jump in at any time! It's okay if you are behind schedule because the word of God is always on time!  Just Keep Reading the #1 Playbook for Life!

BIBLE READING:
Exodus 10:1-12:13, Matthew 20:1-28,
Psalm 25:1-15, and Proverbs 6:6-11

Matthew 20:1-16
So those who are last now will be first then, and those who are first will be last.

Perhaps, your life has not been a crystal stair or things just seem to go from bad to worst, don't let the mirage fool you.  Once you ask God into your heart and life, you are made  new with a heavenly Father to look after you, protect you, and bless you real good.  Of course, you know His hands has always been there, even when you didn't know Him. But now, you can experience God and all the benefits of your salvation on a whole new level.

At the same time, we do have an enemy that doesn't want us to see who we really are in Christ Jesus, and he will create a lot of 'smoke' to distract you.  Just remember this, that no matter what it looks like, God's word will prevail in your life if you don't faint and give up!  Sometimes, in life, we may have to steal away to quiet moments to refresh and renew our spirits in God, but never, ever give up.

It may seem like you are in last place, but God has a way of giving you that extra push, that wind from the holy spirit, and all of a sudden, the one no one ever expected to make it, is now the one they must look up to.  When God does exalt you, remember to stay humble, and give Him all the Glory!!!!  The last shall be first!

P.S. Don't forget to share! I would love to hear from you!

BIBLE READING:
Exodus 8:1-9:35, Matthew 19:13-30
Psalm 24:1-10, and Proverbs 6:1-5

Proverbs 6:1-5 gives it to us plainly:  don't cosign a loan for someone else.  There are many living witnesses who have felt an ugly blow by putting their name on someone else's loan which cost them in money, credit, and peace.  This is just wise biblical advice on how to protect yourself from unnecessary financial drama.

Another side note, if a brother starts asking you for money and to cosign for his car, RUUUUUUUUUUUUUN  (lol, but this sort of thing happens all the time to smart, beautiful women who are naive).  God cares about everything that concerns us, and the word has an answer for everything!!!!!!

Read Your Bible In A Year Challenge: Walking in Forgiveness

PictureSow good seeds in your garden by forgiving and repenting!
BIBLE READING:
Exodus 5:22-7:25, Matthew 18:21-19:12
Psalm 23:1-6 and Proverbs 5:22-23

Forgiveness is a crucial and vital part of a believer's love walk.  It's not an option.  We have to forgive. At the same time, the offenders need to know that forgiveness is not a license for them to keep hurting others.  It's crucial to understand that you can forgive a person and yet choose not to reconcile the relationship with the offender if he or she chooses not to change their abusive ways or if the trust has been severely damaged.

Forgiveness is the process of letting go of the anger or bitterness that you may feel and allowing God to fill your heart with love, mercy and compassion for the individual.  Depending on the situation, mercy and compassion could be manifested in various ways.  For instance, if a person has a remorseful spirit and repents from stealing from his place of work, you can show mercy by praying for the person and providing him or her with counseling resources.  In another scenario, if the person continues to lie and refuse to be honest about stealing the money, mercy and compassion will pray that this person will repent and ask Jesus Christ to do the work in his or heart.

God requires us to forgive others, but He doesn't want us to be foolish.  He clearly states that if a brother or sister refuses to repent after we confront them one on one, with a witness, and then to the church, we are to disown them as if they were a sinner (Mathew 18:15-17).  So everyone will be held accountable for their actions.  The one who offends, and the offended have a part to play: whether its forgiving, repenting, or both.

Because we all have made mistakes and need God's mercy, we must extend that grace and mercy to others.  While we are extending mercy and forgiveness to others, God will give the same right back to us.  The offenders receive the fruit of their seeds sown and can be forgiven by God if they repent.  Forgiveness and repenting allows the offended and the offender to be free from negative emotions or behavior so that they can grow in the character of Christ.

Our Prayer:  God give us a humble, caring spirit towards all mankind.  Let us be quick to show love and mercy to others.  Let us not be lackadaisical about how we treat our brothers and sisters.  When we do fall short, let us be quick to sincerely ask for forgiveness and do what it takes to restore the relationship.  If someone sins against us, let us first remember how much you've forgiven us for and let us have a pure heart to extend that same forgiveness to all.  In Christ Jesus Name, amen.

Today's Bible Reading: Are You A Faithful lover?

BIBLE READING:
Exodus 4:1-5:21, Matthew 18:1-20
Psalm 22:19-31 and Proverbs 5:15-21

Are you a faithful lover to God?  Is He the one leading and directing your life or does your life start falling apart if Danny doesn't call back?    Before you ever say I do, you need to have a passionate, love relationship with God: faithful in your mind, body, and spirit to our Lord Jesus Christ.  In other words, you are not giving your milk to a boyfriend, because you recognize that your body belongs to your husband Jesus and sexual intimacy is sacred and only to be given in the marriage bed.  Proverbs 5 declares  "Why spill the water of your springs in the streets, having sex with just anyone?"
No matter your status, right now, you can make up in your mind that today is the day that you will become a faithful lover and give all of you to Jesus.  He is waiting arms wide open, willing and ready to receive you, will you accept His proposal?

01/26 Bible Reading: Signs of A Gentleman

BIBLE READING:
Exodus 2:11-3:22, Mathew 17:10-27,
Psalm 22:1-18, and Proverbs 5:7-14

Ladies, pay close attention to how a brother in Christ interacts and treat women in general.  Moses was a gentleman and demonstrated it by protecting the 7 sisters from the shepherds and providing them with water for their animals.  Watch for signs that shows whether a male is a gentleman or a jerk.  Now we know that "wanna be players" will do nice things to get your attention too like open the door, etc.  So nice gestures are not the only thing to look for when observing a man's character.  However, pay close attention if the brother seems to lack chivalry; i.e opening the doors, pulling out the chair, or putting up the umbrella to protect you from the rain.  A male with chivalry could indicate that the brother at least has some "home training."   On the other hand, a  brother who lacks chivalry may need more time in "man" school to learn how to treat and value a woman.  It's so much better to trust God and wait for a man of God than to rush off and marry a boy! Today's Bible Reading & Word of Wisdom

BIBLE READING:
Genesis 50:1-Exodus 2:10, Matthew 16:13-17:9
Psalm 21:1-13, and Proverbs 5:1-6

Proverbs 5:1
My son, pay attention to my wisdom; listen carefully to my wise counsel.  Then you will show discernment, and your lips will express what you've learned.  For the lips of an immoral woman are as sweet as honey, and her mouth is smoother than oil.

This Proverbs can be applied to both men and women of God to use discernment in choosing who you will entertain as a single person or married one.  Ladies, the enemy doesn't care and if we are not walking in discernment, we could easy fall into the entrapment of a brother who is just a WOT (waste of time). The writer makes it clear to pay attention to wisdom, wise counsel, and please be lead by God and not your flesh.

Today's Prayer:  Help us Lord to lean totally on you in everything!

BIBLE READING:
Genesis 46:1-47:31, Matthew 15:1-28,
Psalm  19:1-14 and Proverbs 4:14-19

How bad do you want it?  The gentile woman had no legal right to ask Jesus Christ to heal her daughter.  At that time, He was only sent to the Jews and only His death would open the door for all mankind to have a personal relationship with God.  Glory Hallelujah because now we can openly go to our father God for whatever we have need of..... but have you given up on the promises of God because it seems like its just not happening. My sister, be ye not discouraged!  Get even the more closer to our Lord Jesus Christ and put that devil in his place (under your feet) through daily declaring God's word and promises as you live a life of faith and purity.  VICTORY is ours for the having in Christ Jesus!!!!!

Cleanse me from these hidden faults.
Keep your servant from deliberate sins!
Don't let them control me.
Then I will be free of guilt and innocent of great sin. May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heartbe pleasing to you, O Lord, my rock, and my redeemer.
